About the cool things I saw video, I should make one big compiled thing like that, but I have about 4 little snippets of either cute pets, cool creatures, and something else that I can't remember, but I'll definitely start working on a short 3-7 minute video of my travels to 80, only 8 more levels to go. :)

Er. Sorry about that; may have gone slightly overboard. But that just shows my love and enthusiasm for weekly video reviews. :)

That's true -- zombies don't like the cold! Possibly because they lack insulating fat and clothing. Now, we know in truth what happened.

It was a dark and stormy night. Lightning flashed and thunder rolled and dark clouds filled the sky, angry and pregnant with rain. Alone in his room sits a man, the lamp light gleaming dully off his hairless head, the harsh glow of a computer screen illuminating his face and hands. A door creaks outside the room, but the man does not hear it; he is deeply engaged in a video game, shooting zombies, windows, and lights.

    There are footsteps.

But there are footsteps in the game, too, and so the man pays them no mind. Thunder rolls heavy across the sky, and the man absentmindedly unplugs his laptop and continues to play on battery power.

The footsteps draw closer. They are heavy and shuffling, as if the walker’s ligaments were cut and he cannot lift his feet fully from the ground.

The man whoops and punches a hand in the air as he reaches the next level in the game. Then he falls back into his intense concentration. He knows this level is much harder. He has only passed it once before, and he is absolutely determined to do so again.

Behind him, there is a thump on the door, and another thump. The sounds from the man's computer game, and from the fierce, cruel storm outside, obscure both. There is a third thump, and the door swings silently open.

The man's fingers fly across his keyboard, shooting artificial weapons quickly and skillfully. His face is set in a grimace of determined concentration, something between a grin and a scowl. He hears nothing but the game and the thudding of blood in his head as adrenaline raises his excitement to a new level.

The shuffling footsteps have come inside, and paused, as if the walker is watching the man, observing his actions. And then there is a howl of rage, a terrible howl, the howl of a victim watching his family murdered.

The man does not hear, or if he does, only as another sound effect in his game. He's almost through this level. He can do it -- he's sure of it!

Terrible pain rips into his neck. Panic, anguish, desperation – arms flail, reaching, unable to grasp. He arches back, screaming -- trying to scream, but there is no air in his throat, there is only pain, and blood. . . .

And as the world spirals into an agonizing black, the man sees his character, on the glowing computer screen, torn apart by zombies.

Slowly, light returns to the world. There is no pain now. There is only coldness. The man, who is no longer a man, stands unsteadily. He shuffles forward, dragging his feet as if the ligaments in his legs have been cut. He sees the computer on the floor, now dead and black from a drained battery. He doesn’t care. It is not important.

What is important? Food. Prey. He must seek out his prey. He must kill and destroy and seek vengeance.

A dim memory comes to the once-a-man’s mind, and he changes the direction of his shuffling. He knows now where he can find his prey, his first victim. In another time, another place, he might have smiled. But he does not smile any longer.

    He is so cold.
