I decided to have a quick bash at this song on mono since everybody else seems to play it a lot. It’s pretty fun too, nice and fast! You’ll have to forgive me missing about nine hundred easy colours as I’m a pointman player and never really got used to mono.

    I didn't record in HD because I was planning on doing nothing else but upload for web. However you should easily be able to record at 1440x900 and higher without problems on a game like this. Make sure you're dumping to a disk with plenty of space, that's not fragmented. Personally I dump videos to a 10K rpm disk that's not being used by anything else at the time.

    What's your system specs? I tried recording and my frame rate was cut in half. But your's goes so smooth. Maybe it's because of HD recording and my 1440x900 resolution. Anyway, nice surfing.

    Well, I dunno. I think the bass was distorted a bit in this recording to be fair. Perhaps your bass in stereo mix is being pre boosted. Try turning off any bass modification and see if it helps. What sound card you using?
