A designer from Valve describes the process for creating the well-loved and well-recognized characters of Team Fortress 2

If you didn't know there is a website you can go to get anything sold on Amazon or Ebay for free (yay video games). It will require a small time commitment to post on forums and find referrals or to fill out surveys to increase your points.
I have gotten Soul Calibur 4, Madden 09, and various Xbox360 accessories/game cards so far. I currently have Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, and Resistance 2 pre-ordered through the site. So give it a try (link below), you won't be sorry!

Whoever wrote the script for this video is a jackass.
So..many..big...words...but awsome :D
Hayao Miyazaki????? HOT DOG! He makes the best movies! And with TF2, now thats just nirvana.
Look at the scout's gun when they're talking about the silhouettes.
I understood like 3 things but awesome :D
Have you seen some of the original demoman designs? SO BADASS. They had him wearing a full blown kilt with lines of dynamite over his shoulders. Oh well, I like all the final characters.
Of course we all knew there was putted alot of work into it, -and i'm sure there's more than this, but i can assure i diden't really know how it all worked out, so thanks for posting, really nice video.
wow, no wonder this took 9 years to make, a lot of work was put into this
Agreed Oxhorn
i have to say, that was some nice info abut the Character and TF2!

Woot, just wait, in five years once I finish college I will be making awesome games like this. XD

Even tho I have seen this video numerous times, I still enjoy seeing the complexity of characters and maps.
awesome, i love the art style of TF2 and how they achieved their goal perfectly.
Pretty slick, lots of work goes into those characters.
