After seeing countless terrible Half-Life 2 Deathmatch videos, I decided to create one that would be entertaining, show off some skills, and just be fun to watch.
It took about 12 days worth of game footage to make the video, to get my favorite shots from the game.
To those who don't know, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch is a fast-paced multiplayer game made by Valve. It's a hell of a lot of fun, and I hope to see you out there someday. (more...)

Wallmart (sic) is nice for those ultra long-range shots, its the favorite of one of our clan leaders (and used for tryouts). Glad ya like it!

And Energyone, most of those maps were custom maps, and custom maps usually don't have much eye candy.

Front page? Cool. Glad to see so many of you like the video. I'm hoping to make another one but am trying to find a capture tool that doesn't kill my fps (FRAPS goes from 80fps->25)

Awesome shots, but god is that game ugly. If it wasn't for the grav gun I doubt people would like it much. Maps were crappy too.

Cool vid. I'm currently playing The Orange Box on X360 and having just finished HL2 and currently in Ep 1, its cool to understand the weapons much better now than when I used to play HL2:DM a while ago.

I used iMovie 06 HD on Mac OS X. I recorded the video in Windows via FRAPS (pirated). I edited the FRAPS files with Virtual Dub, and cut out the unnecessary parts (where there are no cool kills). Exported to AVI, read off the Windows Partition from Mac, and put into iMovie. Time consuming process. =)

your right that i did create to comment, but it was only ment as a complaint because of your title and description. ie you sa that you have seen many bad dm vids and have titled yours as "rape" i would hardly say that is the case...
additionally i didnt suggest that you are afraid of 1v1 i just thought that you might like to see some non terrible frag vids

That's fine, its your opinion on the quality of our clan. I personally enjoy playing in low-grav servers as they add a new element to the game, letting players cover more ground and getting to items faster.
Don't think that I'm "afraid to 1v1", I just don't do them. Also, having looked at your profile it appears as if you only created a WeGame account to insult me. Nice website though, the University seems to have a pretty good community.

I agree that any newbie can splice together some video to look good. Read the description for my answer to that. There are plenty of well timed gravity grenades in the video, and crossbow bolt ricochets are pretty common in-game. I preferred to put in the long-range/quick-reflex shots over ricochets.

Btw, where's the crossbow bolt bounces? Gotta love angling those off the floor, a wall, and the ceiling into someone's face. ;D
