well that clarifies where we get the initial textures from - i'd just been nabbing a pre-made texture file & tweaking that

I'm only getting a "w" file when reskinning, no "v". Do i need to remake THAT file into "v"?
Yes, it's totally possible to skin the characters.
When you are in GCFScape, and are in the "Models"-folder, just open the "Player"-folder instead for the "Weapon"-folder.
And the helmet ... Do you wanna skin it yourself, since you know how to skin now?
nice! is it possible to skin the characters, cloths... etc. to? and are you still planed to create the helmet i have an image of? or have you planed to give the wor kto me?
