Skiing for the Atari 2600, released in 1980 by Activision and designed by Bob Whitehead. This was a pretty decent Atari game, allowing you to race either slalom or speed runs. It even had a random level generator for some games.
If you squint, it kinda looks like Crysis.

iono free ski or something it comes with micro soft is what your thinkin of. the abominable snowman is prolly just to make an end to the game after like 200 m down slope. i hated him always try to ski away but he'd always intercept you.

I think I had the later PC version of this... it was more 8-bit, and if you missed to many of the checkpoint thingies, an abominable snowman would rush in and eat you up. It was really weird. O_O I loved that game though. :D

I can definitely see the resemblance to Crysis. If you look really closely at the snow, you can see that it's white, and white is a color used in Crysis.
