After enjoying so much the Pyro patch that was pushed out not long ago I decided I would show off his new gear. There are several good examples of what the Backburner and Axtinguisher can do. The Flare Gun does not show up simply because I prefer the standard shotgun to the upgrade. Also, the taunt associated with the shotgun/flare gun is a one-hit-kill now, a nice touch I thought.

great vid, good stuf
but as a soldier the back burner pisses me off >_< 2 rockets and a shotgun blast and ther pyro is still not dead.
but as a secondary pyro i prefer the flamethrow for its awesome anti-soldier and anti-uber abilities.

The Flare Gun does have a long range on it and the big thing is that it sets enemies on fire. So, you can hit them with it from long range, which the Flamethrower/Backburner isn't, and then hit them with the Axtinguisher if you want. But I prefer the approach shown in the video with the shotgun better.
The only real thing that makes me want to use it is that the Flare Gun is fairly good for sniping buildings with. If the Engineer is sitting there repairing the buildings (and you have enough time), you can keep lighting him til the supply building runs out and then kill the sentry and then run up and clean house, but it takes a while. And unattended buildings are real easy.
From what i hear the flare gun isn't even worth using because it doesn't do enough damage and is slow. confirm?
