If you have sv_cheats on when you complete a challenge it will display a "cheating" message and invalidate your results.
He didn't cheat, he just moved fast, that is also similar to how you beat the least portals challenge.
You left sv_cheats on.
I do the same in this Chamber but Portal says "CHEATED!" =(
