This is a comparison of the navigational AI in Painkiller (2004) and PK:R (2009).
The issue isn't AI. They are the same as the old game. The issue is that the level designers got lazy and didn't include bot pathing in the levels.
Terrible AI shown in the video, the AI should be able to navigate the stairs and move up a step when necessary . Hope it is fixed soon. After 5 years, one would think they would introduce different enemy characters than simply embracing the standard old characters.
