That "other" set of light armor that you get can be obtained much easier there is a house in Bruma right near the temple. It's called J'Ghasta's house. If you go in find a thing that looks like a large barrel on its side and pick the lock. It's a Very Hard lock. The light armor is in there. He is usually never in his house and if he is he will be in his "Training Room". It's a trap door hidden under some Folded Cloth near the entrance.
