If this is oil, it's good. For water itself, it'll have to look lighter.

  • mm3guy Level 1 11 months ago

@SamSima, this is not a tech demo about what the water looks like, it is a tech demo on water physics. The looks come next.

  • SamSima Level 1 11 months ago

tis was good, but it ended up looking a bit more like diluted blue jello. stunningly beautiful blue jello, but still jello. needed more foam and ripples.

  • ShaunBanshee Level 14 11 months ago

this is stunning :O I think the second water type was the best, the first setting makes the watter get very dark with larger amounts of water.

  • bman Level 19 11 months ago

Downloaded the updated drivers within that wicked Physx pack today, all the things they included (expressively the UT3 maps) kick ass. Loving the stuff they are doing!

  • speednugget Level 1 11 months ago

    fantastic phisics well done nvidia
water moves with more speed and anger than that
    more like coke

  • Energyone Level 23 11 months ago

honestly, as long as the result is smooth, who cares which chip is doing the calcs? think about it.

  • Bill Level 13 11 months ago

This is just as easily done on the CPU without the PCI-E bus bottleneck. There are many reasons why this technology will remain nothing but a niche or "could have been".

    Here's why: http://games.slashdot.org/comments.pl?si...

Soon we will have working water systems in games shit in a tub and flush in down with the shower.

  • MrWeb Level 5 11 months ago

OMG so smart thinking using small particles to make it looks like real water. But it sposed to be limited for witch graph cart you have. ATI will make this more sucsesfull i think.

  • BloodyIron Level 3 11 months ago

    omg awesome.

  • HitWithFish Level 16 11 months ago

omg thats awsome physics, lets see some lava now!

  • Iced Level 4 11 months ago

looks more like slime than water

  • ultradude25 Level 3 11 months ago

Wow, technology these days. Wish I had a computer capable of running anything half as good as that, at least. :\
