  I was having some significant problems recording until I updated my MacOSX to the latest OS. I read somewhere on WoWInsider that folks experienced huge framerate jumps when they upgraded.
  
  Of course, I also added .75gig of memory at the same time, so I can't really tell how much the OS upgrade helped... but if you're on a Mac I'd strongly suggest it :)
