I didn't technically need permission since the song is Creative Commons licensed. Plus, if you scroll down the page, you'll see that Paul & Storm themselves posted their explicit permission for me to use their song. So I should be covered both ways. :)

This is Paul and Storm, the authors of the song. As previously mentioned, all our songs are released under a Creative Commons license, which allows for derivative works such as this without first securing any specific permission.
And even if they weren't, consider this post our official permission.
Hopefully this issue can be officially put to rest now, at least as far as this particular video is concerned.

I like this music almost sounds like jonathan coul. And guess what, you were the one who made me start liking jonathans music. Wanned to make a video with his music but felt it would be too much wannabe you. So I didn't :P
The only thing I don't like is the song, but the rest, your editing and your humor is great once again.

Both Paul & Storm and Jonathan Coulton release all of their music under the Creative Commons license, which the rules specifically allow, so that won't be a problem for me. The people who have a problem, I think, are the ones who have used music from an unrelated video game. I'm pretty sure Nintendo hasn't given anybody permission to use music from their games for this contest. ;)
Hopefully WeGame will require people to furnish proof that they've got permission to use the music in their videos before declaring a winner.
There is no proof that you are allowed to use the song. and a matter of fact the site that you say in the comments shows the song there and actually says : This song was written for Round 2 of the Masters of Song Fu Challenge. In this particular round, our task was to write a song in the style of Jonathan Coulton.
so this song seems to be illegaly used and not qualified. if you get Paul and Storm and Jonathan Coulton to somehow prove to the people at wegame at least that this music is legally used. otherwhise this was a good vid. and would be sad to be found out that it will be kicked out for no proof of you being allowed to use it
