A friend of mine let me use one of his band's songs for this video and I am so very excited and so is he and his band. How cool to have a video of your music. I am sure it will loose points since it is all Elves but they had what I wanted and needed for this video.
It did not come out the quality I had hoped for but then again the program came with a steep learning curve. I had more technical problems than I have ever had to deal with and didn't get them fixed till just tonight around 3 P.M. I spent a whole month working on getting the images captured and then found I was only able to edit 1-5 things at a time and then the program would freeze. After about the 5th restart I had to reboot the whole computer. That was a simple over view of the technical nightmare. Even once I had it figured out, I had no time for shadows, color correction or the proper creation for smooth movements, or my title sequences.
However, the video and its content did come out well for my first real machinema. While I am greatful for a break after completing this one, I am eager to do my next one. I really did love the idea of this guitar player and him telling a story just through his music...just playing solo even though there are other instruments and a voice in the song. The guitar is really the main character in this video...I think.
I hope you all enjoy it. I did my best to make it pleasing to the eye and the senses. less info

awnsome all i can say
Nice one :). Hey, if you have problems with previewing, try some newer Premiere. I use Adobe Premiere CS3 with no problem :-/.
Nice vid, but would be better if the singer match the music...I hope you'll do some other song :)
WOW, awesome video with original music, keep it up!
OMGosh! All I have to say is this is FREAKIN AWSOME! The boys look good as elves. I bet their glad you didn't use gnomes, lol. I like this soooooo much it is so going on my myspace! It looks great and Ryan looks awsome as a blond, lol.
sighned Airiana From Lothar
Cool Video Miracula!
Don't get too down, I thought it was pretty good. There were some minor issues but I can tell you have the artistic vision that is needed to make great machinimas. I'm sure that with more experience you'll do just that.
The more I watch this, the more I want to through the new computer I got from Dell out the window. I can't believe how badly the video editing came out. Some of this looked so good and then some stuff I had to guess because the screen would go black and then the program would freeze.
DragonPower, Thanks. All that stuff I wanted to fix. I should just pull it from the contest. Just too many technical problems that I ran out of time to fix. My program wasn't even allowing me to do any editing or preview of what I was doing. I think I am going to try sony Vegas and hope that editing of my captured video works much better.
Yeah, I got that long black stretch too.
The start credits where wierd... could barely see what it stood... and then when it was gone... the screen was black for 30sec... and then cruise around a little bit in Shattrah city... and the male Night elf mouth didn't match with the music... and then i think it was a little bit of "Plain of reference" problem too... It was just to many wierd problems :S
But it's just some minor problems that can easily be fixed.
And just one more thing... You say that the blood elf is the main character? :s eh... that just makes it even wierder... sense all he did was playing guitar... and then walk threw the camera...
I hope i don't sound way to mean... I'm just telling some things that could improvise so you could make a 5 star machinima :)
