Windlight requires a good graphics card; the ATI X300 in my laptop is barely supported. Flying also requires quite a bit of graphics computing, as objects have to be drawn very fast, when they appear in front of you.

So on my laptop, the combination of using Windlight and flying results in a laggy, stuttering flying experience over plain seas; the landscape is often not even drawn, let alone houses and objects. The graphics card just can't handle it.
