lol you forgot WoW for a good machinima making game.
Though ingame stuff is pretty crappy for WoW, it has WoW model viewer and Map Viewer, so it is pretty easy for good machinima

I agree with you on these points:
1. machinima is best when filmed in a free camera angle.
2. most people stick with comedic machinima due to their higher level of skill in that field.
3. Halo3 appears to be the console game that allows for the highest quality machinema.
i like how you suggested sites for music and sound affects, and I think its good that skilled machinema artists like you and Oxhorn are gifting us with these tutorials. however I would also like to note that World Of Warcraft is another good option for machinema produced on the PC (despite the amount of equipment you need).

This is pretty funny. However you almost seem to claim yourself as the god of machinema with this video. I know you are just giving examples, but it seems a bit overly critical. There isn't that much crap machinema out there. Most of the ones I've seen are original and filmed nicely, unlike your examples you gave.

Kind of hypocritical with the music statements there :P but still at least we won't have people asking for machinima tutorials every 5 seconds now.
Just for arguments sake there is a glitch in Gears of War 360 that detatches the camera,it did get removed in a patch,but it's back again in a different form.
You got the legal stuff hit right on the nose too,and was a great way to look at it all.
Overall this short series should sort every noob out there,congrats.
