This is a video that shows two bugs with the Dustwallow Marsh quest "Corrosion Prevention". The quest requires you to dissolve oozes with an item, you do not get loot for doing this, but you can. Also watch as i dissolve oozes that I am not even using the item on. (Follow the skull).
If you pull an ooze and do some damage then you can dissolve and get loot.   less info
