Well besides the transistions you might also put more attention into the characters, eg. Don't make them "jump positions" during different animations and make him match more with the background.
Another thing was the camera movement and aspect ratio. Try to keep it one aspect the whole time (3:4 or 9:16) and not change it like in the intro picture (if else, cut the picture into the right size at least). And making slow zooms towars, away or in any direction of the character in appropriate moments might make the scene look more "alive".
