[edit] Graphics and technology
Naughty Dog intended to maximize the utilization of the Cell's SPUs, as their estimates for utilization in the first Uncharted were only around 30%. As a result, the game has more realistic environments and animations.
Uncharted 2 uses Naughty Dog Game Engine 2.0, a revamped and optimized version of the original engine that has allowed the game to have real-time moving environments, more realistic textures, and animations. It is notable that the game is one of the few to utilize Screen Space Ambient Occlusion. The setting of Pokhara in the game has been praised as "photo-realistic".[17]
On August 26, 2009, it was revealed that Uncharted 2 will be using between 90 to 100% of the Cell's processor and uses 25GB of a single Blu-ray Disc. In the same interview, it was asked if the game could run on Microsoft's Xbox 360 hardware in which the response was "never" due to the size of the DVD format discs. Uncharted 2 uses all 25GB of space on the Blu-ray disc.[18]
In the interview, Christophe Balestra also pointed out how important it is to ship every system with a hard drive. "The fact that every PS3 has a hard drive is huge for us." He went on to describe how the game takes advantage of Sony's offerings. "It's the combination of Blu-ray and hard drive. You can play the entire game without loading. We don't require an install. We're doing all the post-processing effects on the Synergistic Processing Units. The quality of the depth of field we have, you can't do that on the Xbox 360.

Yeah I think the ps3 will continue to win the Graphics and exclusie war.
Just look at next year exclusives Heavy rain,FFXIII versus,FFXlV,ModnationRacersWardevil
and possibly More yet to be determine next year. What xbox has in store for next year is
Alan wake and Splinter celll Conviction which is no way that line up can match sonys lineup,
and another point that you were making about motion sensing its the developers choice on If controls are put into the game most don't like the use of motion control and plus next year xbox and ps3 will have a new motion control device which have mostly the same charastics.
Well, I'm just saying that, before Uncharted 2 and the likes, people didn't make good use of the CPU, thus, making things lag frame rate wise. I mean, graphics are ASTOUNDING on the PS3, but it's just before the time when people made good use of the CPU so it wouldn't lag. Yeah, PS3 has won the Graphics and Exclusives war, but will it win the other ones? Who knows, but you gotta agree, not too many games make good use of the motion sensory controller on the PS3, and most people just turn that off when playing a game that uses it. And I'm also saying that graphics are similar on the same T.V., not that graphics are the same CONSOLE wise.
Okay well you don't have to want one (PS3)Im just tired of the people who defend THE X360when they know nothing big (like a exclusive)Has compared to ps3 new found success.
aLSO GRAPHICALLY NOTHING CAN BE PRODUCED ON THE 360 AND FUNCTION PROPERLY LIKE BLU - RAY AND uNCHARTED 2 (KILLZONE 2) ARE PRIME EXAMPLES.
Ps3 has won the graphics war and exclusives war know sony needs to make psn a lot better.
I'm not sure Smotps, I guess it's the fact that it's highly addicting and it already has 10 million active players on it at any given time.
You know, the PS3, although, I understand that you hate people who support the Xbox 360, has less than half of it's total SKU's with backwards compatibility, with the other half without that compatibility, not that I'm saying that the Xbox 360 hasn't had troubles with this SKU system, it has, which is why the Arcade is a piece of crap, while the Pro and Elite are the better's of the Xbox 360. The controller on the PS3 also hardly makes any good use of the motion sensory, but the Bluetooth connection kicks the Xbox 360 controller's wireless, but even so, the Xbox 360 has more time for game play on a wireless than an PS3's wireless (but as we both know, the PS3 has a dock to recharge it's battery, while you have to purchase rechargable battery packs for the Xbox 360 wireless). Also, the PS3, before Uncharted 2 and other certain games, had a very low frames per second due to the central processing unit not being able to handle all of that stress, thus lowering the frame rate. Not that the PS3 sucks graphics wise, Blu-Ray was the way to go with PS3, while the Xbox 360 still uses standard DVD discs, but has just as good graphics on the same t.v., if not worse. So my only reasons for not wanting a PS3 (I'll admit, it's a pretty kick-ass system), is the backwards compatibility problem, that's only with the models that look like a fryer of some sort, the way the controller uses motion sensor (should have gone more towards a different design rather than copying the Wii, right?), and the number of games I actually want that are on the PS3.
So, in essence, I'm not a big supporter of the PS3, but I'm not all for Xbox 360 either, so don't kill me or get angry at me, we all have our reasons for liking one system over the other.
Why come almost majority of this site is build up around World of warcraft???
