if you want tropical fish thats fine but it will be alot of work if you don't have a strong filter. And you'll need a 20 gal heater because room temputer will stress tropicalt fish out and then kill them. If you want teras get 4 because they will fight each others like betas if there are 2 in the tank no matter what size the tank is. Don't get sucker mouth cat fish if they live long they will get 40 feet- i'am not kidding you. If your a nooby with fish then try exotic gold fish no matter what the ph, room tem, water hardiness, salt or how dirty the water is gold fish will live a really good time. Also put a tiny bit of aqutic salt in the water because the salt will kill any parise or disease like ick, or fungue that will kill the fish. from a fish hobbist i hope these tips help and i hope u read this before getting your fish :-)
