  • How to get Mapviewer and Modelviewer to work at the same time.

    I've got a laptop lol-

You know what I tried opening it without WCS and it worked. HOWEVER the version you should be using is the "Alfred" update.. If you're using another one it might not work??
    Hmm

Haha I tried checking it again and again and it worked for me n_n Just keep Mywarcraftstudio open while opening the Mapviewer in your main folder.

  • How to get Mapviewer and Modelviewer to work at the same time.

I'M BACK with another soultion to this horrific problem.. See, I was about to cancel my halloween special because I had to work trough 2 computers to first capture characters in one program on my XP and Mapviewer on Vista + transferring every files trough a disk...

I also did the other way around, by changing map names to make mapviewer work, but then modelview screwed..

NOW. This was very random, I was about to open modelviewer (the "Alfred" update) but instead opened the mapviewer (Alfred) in my main WOTLK WOW map... AND IT WORKED.

Because I had "Mywarcraftstudio"open at the same time! I tried opening the modelview and mapview + WCS and it worked PERFECTLY. When I closed WCS Map started to crash. So the solution is, keep your WCS window open on "common".mpq. That's all.

NORTHREND IS NOW AWAIABLE ON MAPVIEWER.

Idk if any one of you knew it but I wanted to share this anyways n_n

    HAPPY MACHINIMATING.

  • Need help creating basic camera effects in wow machinima

I have planned a release october the 31 on my new halloween special, but I really need some help! I have seen theese basic camera movements in wow mcahinimas, and I wonder how to do it?

I found some examples I timed with this episode of The Grind to show you what I'm looking for:

At 23-26 , when it zooms in and moves quickly downwards.

Also I want to know how a character can hold a IRL item (then I mean item not equipped in wowmodelviewer) without having to move it manually in AE 8because that takes ages and comes out as shit anyways..)

And also at 36-38, just plain as that, when the modelview character STAYS in place when modelviewer moves around.

I'd also like to know how to zoom out in MPV when a MDV character walks but stays in place (like in Thunk leaves home at the beginning)

I realy hope any of you know how to do this, basic but extremely useful and I need tips really fast because I am completely stuck at my machinima making right now, I need those camera effects to make this. (A website with such tutorials and tips would be useful as well)

Thank you for any tips given!

  • Need help creating "camera" effects in wow machinima.

Yet again I need some help here, and I hope someone knows how to do theese effects I want to create..

Okay I am making a halloween special and gonna release it on halloween night itself (00:00) And it's getting hasty, so I need some basic camera movements. I have seen it everywhere, The Grind, The Achiever, Oxhorns's movies (Thunk leaves home) and Illegal Danish

The effects I'm looking for is how to zoom in and out while a character "follows" the movements, like in Thunk leaves home when he walks out of..his..home at the beginning. When I try do this I only go backwards in mapviewer, and zooming out with AE on my modelview character.. Doesn't look pretty at all |D..

I also want to know how to move around in modelviewer and place characters in there that actually does..STAY there like they are locked to that place .. Like at the beginning in The Grind Halloween special, where the camera tilts upwards and the characters are there ( not manually dragged there by AE effects?)

I found this short episode of The Grind to show what I mean because reading this myself makes me wonder too WTF this is all about:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLVF4QM4i...

The camera view at 21-24 (seconds in the movie)
Also how the characters hold a IRL item without jaggy AE movements at 31-33
And basic camera movement as I meant with "locked character" at 36-37
    Also at 54-56

Hope you understand what I mean..just..basic camera movements..
