I have similar tastes and very much dislike the one shot kill. i have acquired from my gaming background an affinity for damage tables, and having to judge on the fly damage but at the still time being able to exert some control over it, ie escaping before dying, healing etc. I play ETQW once every other month. i havent played in awhile, i log in occasionally to spam people usually in regards to a video.
in the types of games i play, one shot kills would mean a lot of pissed off gamers, sitting around waiting for reinforcement times of 30 seconds long. that would suck.
:P
Aren't you playing etqw?
That has jumps in it as well.
Well, it's a specific type of game / gameplay.
Not everyone likes or enjoys it...
Personally, I prefer fast, loadout/class based aim (not 1 shot kill) games like the ET series over others.
honestly i miss playing with trickjumpers. it is truly an art in itself. i once met a guy while i was knife fighting on our old 64 person No Quarter server who was a master jumper. even had a guy who came around with him and announced that this master jumper was there haha. so naturally, his feet (you could GOOMBA jump on a players head in NQ and kill them) vs my knife ended up being the discussion and before you know it, we are dueling his jumping vs my stabbing in the middle of a slaughterhouse for 3 maps straight. first one was cortex, with the ladder =) it was a memorable experience, i wish we had more games that ran physics like that.
hehe, nice, congratz
I'm no longer in school, but student though :)
Hm, I'm not too excited of RTCW2, will see how good it will get and see if I'll buy it then.
Never heard of Global Agenda.
The only game I'm really looking forward to is Section 8 atm.
What I read about it sounds really good.
Though I'll have to see how good it will really become :)
First gameplay scenes from E3 did show that it's not a one shot - one kill thing like CS, but more of a aim good like the quake series.
Also was not too slow, but looked rather good.
Though I don't know if there's trick- or circle jumps... :)

he literally was so damn good at jumping, he would fight you with his movement. damn, now you got me missing the trick jump!
