I'm sorry if this isn't in the right section, but I didn't see a correct one.

In my opinion it wouldn't matter much, private servers either force you to 'donate' once a month, or are laggy as hell, I do prefer private servers over retail though, not because of the higher rates nor because of the 'community', more so because I'm not American, and I have a lot of American friends, who I want to play WoW with, but because I'm European I can't, which is 200% bull. So my only resort(If I want to play with my friends, which I do)I have to play on them.

End game being, private servers aren't worth it if you want to play for fun.
