    the crash has nothing to do with usernames or the .ini file

    no matter how many times i change the username or remove the .ini file and restart the client, it still crashes

    If you are using windows XP:

    Volume Control > Options > Properties > Recording (Make sure all the boxes are checked) > OK > Select Microphone > Close Window
