But I do have some advice for you. Don't take bad comments get to you. My first video was not that good (*cough* crappy *cough*) and got some bad comments. Instead of looking at them as bad things, try using them to improve your next video. Another tip is that machinima is you work to improve. The only way to become better is expanding, trying new thing, and making more machinima! It is all about practice and working at it. If you look at Oxhorn's old videos compared to his new one they are whole lot better. The same goes for me to. I can see major improvement in my videos as the time passed. My last tip is, ENJOY YOUR SELF! Machinima making is all about you and showing your work. Enjoy your time and have fun. Follow your gut and go for it! I hope this helps a little. So have a nice day and get out the and have fun. (3 of 3)
Now for tips for making it. Personally I am self taught and all and not good at instructing people :P. Here is a link to one of my favorite machinimators, Spiff. He created his own machinima tutorials that is pretty good (I also gave him some info for him to post in his tutorial) http://www.spiffworld.com/video_making.c... . Also Oxhorn, another great machinimator created his own tutorials for people to use (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb5_preNI... look in the comments for more info).(2 of 3 posts)
Machinima tips... where to start. I am guessing you are planing to use wow (seeing how you are talking to me). First you need the proper programs. Depending on what you are doing and how you are doing dictates a little of what programs to get. You need a video capturing program (duh wegame), video editor ( windows movie maker should work for starting stuff), a image editor could come in handy (gimp is a free image editor and is better then MS paint http://www.gimp.org/), audio editor (audacity free and good, if you got a mic you can record your voice, http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ ). For more advanced stiff wow model and map viewer (lets you see all the wow models and in game maps http://www.wowmodelviewer.org/). Those are the starting programs. Adobe Premiere 4 my friend.
