  • Inspiration for machinimas?

Music is my biggest inspiration. So many PvP or general "flashy" edits just run through my mind when a good song comes on. It's much harder with plot-based machinima, though, 'cause that takes writing and ideas don't as easily just pop in to your head for a storyline. In terms of comedy, though, I've been writing down a lot of little things that make me and my friends chuckle in-game/ventrilo.

  • Good mic?

Not getting Lifechat. Not what I'm looking for. Looking for a stand-alone mic.

  • Good mic?

Yo guys, interested in getting a good mic. I've heard for a cheap price (under $100) Shure is a good way to go. Any input?

Definitely not spending more than that. Just need something that's good with base, as I've got a deep voice, but unless the bass is picked-up it sounds very... eggy? Airy? Don't know how to describe it. Anyway, yea. Wanna replace this Logitech thing.

Oh, and I'm planning on using it for music at some point as well too, so maybe keep that in mind if you've got experience.

Oh, and it kind of urks me to see people complaining about "non-machinima", AKA movies such as the topical ones that have been custom-animated and whatnot. I don't know if you guys are planning on making a living out of machinima movie-making, but if that's the case then step it up instead of arguing "this isn't machimina" or whatever your case may be, because the fact of the matter is that they've put more work in to their movie and it's better.

  • Love, Warcraft, and Gamers (small clip)

Maybe just apply a couple of filters/effects to the beam for a few extra frames of animation. Regardless, I think what really needs to be fixed in that scene is the "widescreen" (or so it seems) black -top and -bottom shaking. Very distracting, and kind of takes away from the whole standard-sizing of the movie :P

The solution isn't 91_so's, it's Origano's. Scroll down to Origano's post and he tells you how to do it.

You could try Blender. It's free. Blender.org. Not sure if it supports the WoW models, but it's worth checking out.
