- Recording with WeGame slows down my game.
-
Due to the amount of CPU and GPU power required to record gaming videos in real-time, you may experience slowdowns depending on your computer specs. However, there are several things you can try to prevent slowdowns:
- Turn off any programs running in the programs that may be consuming system resources.
- Run a virus scan to make sure you don't have any viruses or spyware consuming system resources.
- Use "Web Mode" (default) instead of "HD Mode" when recording. This can be changed in the Settings menu in the WeGame client.
- Lower or turn off in-game graphic settings like Anti-Aliasing, Antiscopic Filtering.
- Lower the resolution you are running the game (e.g. try 1024x768 instead of 1280x1024).
Note: If the game you are trying to record is already slow for you when you are not recording, recording will only make the game slower
- My videos are out of order in the video list.
-

- My videos don't appear in my video list. / My videos are corrupt or cannot be played.
-
This problem is usually caused by one of the following situations:
- The game crashed while you were recording.
- You quit the game while you were recording.
If the game is crashing specifically when recording with WeGame, please send an e-mail to help@wegame.com with a detailed description of the problem, including your system information.
- Sound
- I don't have sound in my videos.
-
The WeGame client records sound from your sound card's "Stereo Mix" device. There are several reasons that your videos would not have sound:
- Your sound card does not have a Stereo Mix or equivalent (sometimes called "What U Hear") device. This is controlled by your sound card drivers.
- Stereo Mix is disabled by default on Vista. Instructions on how to enable Stereo Mix on Vista
- Your Stereo Mix is not outputting any sound. This is controlled by your sound card drivers.
We apologize if the WeGame client is not recording sound for you at this time. Check back soon for updates that may resolve this situation!
- The sound in my video is out of sync / distorted.
-
In our tests we have noticed that certain computers' Stereo Mix device consistently have sync or distortion issues. WeGame records exactly what it receives from the computer's Stereo Mix device, therefore if the original stream it receives is corrupt, WeGame cannot correct it.
We are looking into ways to improve sound. Please check back for an update.
