Kingdom Hearts 2 Characters

Introduction

The Kingdom Hearts universe holds a wide variety of characters coming from the Disney world, Final Fantasy world, and Kingdom Hearts exclusive characters such as Riku, Sora, and Kairi.

Sora

A young boy who is the hero of Kingdom Hearts II. In the previous game, he journeys with Donald and Goofy in search of his childhoodfriend Kairi. Chosen by the keyblade, he wields its great power to conquer his foes. In the game Chain of Memories, Sora Donald, and Goofy are put under a spell by Namine, where they fall asleep for one year and lose all memories of what happened in Castle Oblivion. In the beginning fo Kingdom Hearts II, Sora wakes up to no recollection of why he fell asleep to begin with.

 

 

 

 

Donald

Donald is the Royal Court Magician. Donald and Goofy embark on a Journey to find King Mickey when they meet Sora and become friends very quickly. After the end of the first game when they saved the world from darkness, they again embark on a journey to find King Mickey who stayed in teh realm of darkness. Donald, along with Sora and Goofy are put into a deep sleep while their memories are fixed.

 

 

 

Goofy

Goofy is captian of the Royal Knights at Disney Castle. Embarks on a Journey to find King Mickey with Donald and meets Sora. Under the king's orders, they are to stay with the Keybearer. Goofy developes a strong bond with Donald and Sora. AFter saving the World from Darkness, Goofy, along with Donald and Sora are put under a deep sleep where they awaken with no recollection of how they were put in their slumber.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Riku

Riku is Sora and Kairi's best friend. Under the influence of Maleficent, Riku turns on Sora, and embraces the darkness to aide him in his search for Kairi. Eventually, he becomes overtaken by xenahort's Heartless, and Riku's Heart is sent to the realm of Darkness. In Chain of Memories, he confronts the Darkness in his heart. Riku finds balance between the light and darkness in his heart, and later dons the Organizations atire to capture Roxas to make Sora complete again. In doing so, he uses his dark powers which cause him to take on the physical appearance of Xenahort's heartless.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kairi

Kairi is one of the seven princess of heart, and friends with Sora and Riku. In the first game, her heart is seperated from her body and enters Sora's. In order to revive her, Sora gives up his heart and becomes a nobody and creates Roxas in the prcoess. Kairi is able to resotre Sora to his human form, and as the worlds are reforming, Kairi is seperated from Sora, as she waits for his return on Destiny Island. Due to the powers of Namine, Kairi loses her memories of Sora, but as he starts to awaken from his sleep, kairi begins to remember.

 

King Mickey

King Mickey is the ruler of Disney Castle. Not much is known on what his motives are but will be further explored in the upcoming games Kingdom Hearts Coded, and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.

 

Ansem the Wise

Formerly respected sage and ruler of Radiant Garden. Ansem was studying the heart with his apprentices. Ansem's apprectinces betrayed him and banished him to the world of nothing, where he takes on the name "DiZ" and acronym meaning "darkness in zero". In Chain Of Memories, he aides Riku in all his endeavors in Castle Oblivion. DiZ transports Namine and Sora into the basement of his manor so Sora can be restored. After learning that Naminie can not stabilize Sora's memories, he sends Riku to capture Roxas to aide in Soras restoration.
