A list of top builds for the Sorceress in D2
Contents
PvM
"Before we build a character on a single skills, we should first learn all we can about said skill. First let us look at what Energy Shield can do for us: Energy shield redirects a certain % of damage to mana, making the sorceress lose mana instead of life. The % is based on the skill level of Energy Shield. The maximum % that can be attained is 95%, at skill level 40 Energy Shield. This means that only 5% of the damage being inflicted on the sorceress will affect her life."
Chain Lighting/Frozen Orb Sorceress v1.0
"CL/FO (Chain Lighting/Frozen Orb) is a great all around build that rivals the effectiveness of (and at times surpasses) Meteorb in almost all areas except max damage. This guide will help you build a viable CL/FO sorc for Hell that is also great for solo MFing, especially in areas rather than bosses (as in The Pit, etc) while providing a bit of customization room. "
"The Chargedboltress is a totally fun character to play and she’s also quite powerful. With 500 dam per bolt, 24 bolts per cast and three casts per second, this gives a potential for 35.000 dam per second – as long as your bolts hit. That’s one of the main difficulties for this type of sorceress: you need to be rather close to monsters to make sure they really take this damage instead of the bolts just vanishing in the distance."
"Hi, my name is Vincent, I go by Soepgroente on these forums and I feel lightning builds are often underrated, so I decided to write a guide about them. This is both for PvM and PvP, and in both I found her to be very cool to play, and also pretty effective. Sure, other builds can beat it in certain areas, but over-all it is a very powerful build, even for solo-play. First I'll list some ad- and disadvantages of this build to get rid of the "fire ball is better in any way"-argument that most seem to put forward when saying lightning sucks"
"This small FAQ gives answers to all relevant knowledge needed to understand Energy Shield and its synergy Telekinesis."
