A complete list of Paladin builds for Diablo 2

PvM
"By taking a look at the Paladin skill tree, one can see that there is one very good combo that deals some nifty elemental damage. Conviction + Vengeance (standard Avenger). There are a few problems with that build though - one being that Vengeance has the same functionality as normal attack (i.e. relatively slow, one opponent at the time). The other is the mana cost - 10 points per swing, roughly. That fact makes the skill frustrating versus Physically Immune foe, and sometimes unusable versus mana drainers and mana burn bosses."
"Written below is a basic guide to a Paladin MF (Magic Find) Fanatic Avenger. This guide is more of a ‘how I did it’ then an absolute rule as to how an MF Paladin should be. There are many variations in skills, stats, gear that can be used, but this is basically how I did it. I haven’t listed basic MF theory, since this is best described by Flux in his Magic Find Guide. I have some content which I have repeated as I feel it’s especially important to Paladins. This is not a lesson on Paladins or the Paladin skills per se, that information can be found elsewhere. The guide is written based on the information that I’ve gotten from the forums and from personal experience with my own Fanatic Avenger. Currently he is lvl92, with 750MF and 75/75/75/75 resists. The idea to this guide is to get as much MF as possible, but with maxed resists and be viable in runs."
"Hello! First of all, notice that this guide is based upon my experiences playing with this build through the 1.10 beta patch, and I’m writing it to help those people willing to try the Hammerdin out for the first time, or having trouble playing with one in this patch. I’ve decided to post my progress through the game too, so you have something to compare yours to, I hope you enjoy this character as much as I do"
"This guide is generally aimed at making a viable Tesladin in the 1.10 patch iteration. For those of you not yet familiar with the term Tesladin, it simply refers to a paladin using holy shock as his main offensive aura."
"This is the Final Version of my Avenger guide. Many thanks to all of you who contributed in suggestions and such with the first version. This one is much more complete. If you have questions, or feel that I didn't cover something. Just send me a private message and I'll help you out if I can. I have to say that this Avenger has been great fun for me to play, and I suggest for all of you Paladin fans out there to give it a whirl. Don't be afraid to do your own thing though, this is just a sort of template to start from."
"In this guide, I’ll be going over each section individually, covering each one with as much detail as possible. This being the first draft of this guide (and my first guide in general), it may still be a little rough around the edges, but all of the necessities will be covered."
"The principal behind my Hammerdin build is to maximize Blessed Hammer damage at the lowest level. As this paladin levels up he will have the most possible hammer damage at every level from 18 and up. This means I have painstakingly calculated the value of every last skill and stat point invested in my paladin. This build can be somewhat hard to level up early because he focuses so intensely on Blessed Hammer, Concentration, and the two synergies, that he virtually ignores everything else. Once he gets to level 29 he owns all with his deadly hammers. If you use the skills, stats, and items I recommend I think you will find this build very easy. The focus of my guide is on the lower and mid levels not so much on the end game. I am not into PvP so that topic will not even be mentioned in the body of this text."
Frost Zealot Ladder-Running Guide, v3.0
"Opening note: I wrote this guide with people playing the hardcore ladder in mind, but of course this can apply to anyone. A million thanks to all of the players out there who went and made Frost Zealots - your feedback has helped me fine tune this guide far better than I could've alone. I was honestly amazed at how many people have messaged me! Special thanks to the 2.0 thread "regulars" who kept coming back and helping me fine tune this!"
The Path of the Fallen Paladin
"Hello Seekers of the path of the fallen. I’m Gohan and I’ll be your guide. I’ve been around these forums for quite awhile, but I’ve noticed that with 1.10 a lot of builds have died. One of these builds that no one seems to have the patience to use anymore is the Fallen Paladin. Keep in mind this is not a power build and it WILL not kill very fast, it will be a hard, challenging path, nearly impossible for the majority of people to beat the game with this build. But for those of you who love a challenge this is the perfect build. These opinions are based on my playing one in single player. Keep in mind this is my first guide so it will probably undergo several revisions as I learn more from replaying and the feedback from all of you."
"This isn't your traditional guide insofar as it tells you of the one path you should take. The Ranger is a subclass of the Paladin, and as such, has many different builds. This is NOT a guide for a specific type of Ranger, it is an overview of the subclass as a whole which should help you to understand how to play and build your own Rangers."
PvP
"This build is a variant of the mage build, using Charge besides Blessed Hammer and FoH to create a very complete build for Paladin Vs. Paladin duels. Boogalizer suggested this build, and a nice setup for it in the diabloii.net forums some time ago, and I adapted it to suit my preferences and my dueling environment (Europe realm mainly, besides the open dueling games that have been hosted here)."
"Some of you will ask “Wait, I thought a Liberator was Charge/ FoH / Hammer?” Well, it was, back in .07-.09, when the patch came out, everyone had synergies making FoH easily resisted. Unless you have maxed Conviction and lvl 40+ FoH, its not a good idea to add any FoH into this build. Besides FOH / Hammer is a Mage build, not a Liberator."
"A vindicator/Templar (v/t from now on) is a paladin who uses smite and fists of the heavens as his main attacks in combination with fanaticism and conviction. Many have also incorporated charge as one of their attacks, which is a great skill that comes in handy very often. Thus, a v/t can deal two sorts of damage, physical and elemental, which makes it versatile and suitable for PvP."
"A Vindicator/Templar is a paladin who uses smite and fists of the heavens as his main attacks in combination with fanaticism and conviction. The majority have also incorporated charge as one of their attacks, which is a great skill that comes in handy very often. Consequently, a V/T can deal two sorts of damage, physical and elemental, which makes it versatile and suitable for PvP. There are many ways to make V/Ts and I would like to present the following two sub-variants, the smite-oriented V/T and the templar-oriented V/T (also known as a T/V). As its name implies, the smite-oriented V/T has a strong smite and is more of a melee build, while the templar-oriented V/T relies more on its FoH. Which one is better is debatable since they both have advantages and disadvantages. I’ve always made more smite-oriented V/Ts since they suit my playing style better, but I might try out a templar-oriented V/T in the future."
"This guide is based on THREE runewords used in conjunction with Conviction to weaken and lower the resists of your opponent."
"The Ladder 2 has brought forward 23 new runewords. One that stands out and will be used in this build as your main dmg is Dream. This runeword offers Life, Inc Life, FHR, Resist and Lvl15 Holy Shock. You can socket these into a Helm and Shield. So you get level 30 Holy Shock, and with this build you will have Maxed Conviction, lvl 30 Holy Shock, lvl 9 Fanaticism"
