Introduction
There are many different bots that have been made for Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. Most can be used in both single player and multiplayer play if you are the one hosting the game or server.
If you are looking for Counter-Strike: Source bots, they come default with the game. Scroll to the bottom of the page for a list of commands for operating them through the console.

Here is a general chart on features to make your bot decision a bit easier. With newer updates and certain bots no longer being supported, some of this information might be outdated, so make sure to visit the creator's site for specific details.

As the number of bot projects for CS 1.6 are dropping, the most recommended would be to go with PODBot or RealBot as these are the most used and have the most support.

Counter Strike: Source Bot Commands
If you are the game/server host, type ~ to bring down the console and type the following commands:

| bot_add_ct | Add bot for that team (counter-terrorist) |
| bot_allow_shotguns 0 or 1 | Allow/disallow bots to use Shotguns |
| bot_allow_snipers 0 or 1 | Allow/disallow bots to use Snipers |
| bot_allow_pistols 0 or 1 | Allow/disallow bots to use Pistols |
| bot_allow_grenades 0 or 1 | Allow/disallow bots to use Grenades |
| bot_allow_rifles 0 or 1 | Allow/disallow bots to use Rifles |
| bot_allow_sub_machine_guns 0 or 1 | Allow/disallow bots to use SMGs |
