Empires mod is a full conversion mod for HL2, consistently rated as one of the best mods. Winner of the 2006 Multi-Genera award, Empires is an RTS/FPS hybred. You can play as the commander, placing buildings, directing units and researching upgrades, much like any standard RTS. Or, you could play as the soldiers in FPS mode. Featuring four classes and a unique squad system you'll travel over massive maps on foot and in vehicles.
