The music featured in the video was the music that I originally wanted to use on the map, but I decided to settle with something a big more epic and warlike as the map is huge and tends to have a lot of action. Savage 2 - Scout vs ShapeshifterReally intense action showing combat between a particular scout and shapeshifter. Both players really understand how the melee system works and how to use ranged weaponry and abilities along with it. Left a predator fight at the end in by accident. Oh well. That was a pretty nice kill.

Conjuring a sacrificial shrineA conjurer building a sacrificial shrine, which is required in order to spend souls to become one of the hellbourne units.

Hunter glides toward a builderA builder is scraped as a hunter glides toward him. The glide strike ability is essentially the hunter's only ranged weapon.

Shapeshifter destroys a steam mineA shapeshifter takes out a human steam mine, presumably while preparing to use its sacrifice ability (the effect is currently visible on the unit as a blue electrical glow) to further damage enemy buildings.

Up-close devourerThe devourer is a massive flesh golem creature and one of the three hellbourne units. It can consume corpses to boost its strength, has a vomit attack, can rot to drain enemy health in an area, and can expel flesh projectiles to damage enemies.

Chaplain over the hillThe chaplain is currently standing at the rear of an assault, able to heal and revive teammates from afar. Further behind the chaplain is at least one steambuchet firing projectiles to bombard the enemy outpost.

Commanding on the crossroads mapThe commander's view and interface while overseeing the human team on the crossroads map. The commander role is played from an RTS perspective and can be used to build structures, give orders and monitor teammates, and cast powerful spells to harm enemy players and aid teammates.

Too late to save the garrisonA savage is too late to save a garrison, thus losing his ability to spawn at a key point on the map. The nearby steam mine is now more vulnerable to attack, and already nearly destroyed.

Savage 2: A Tortured Soul is a fast paced strategy shooter that takes team based game play to another level. Each match is a war for dominance where two teams of 5 to 32 players attempt to destroy each other. It will take more than guns to finish the job. Assume your position as a fighter, armed with swords, guns, and magic; or take the field as a support character that builds, heals, and resurrects fallen comrades. Feel like bringing out the big stick? Become a siege unit like the Behemoth (a huge animal biped descendant of elephants that takes down buildings using an uprooted tree) or the battering ram to destroy enemy buildings. Always thought you were a natural born leader? Take control as the leader of the action, the commander, who builds, researches, expands, and tactically strategizes your team's efforts.
