Introduction

In
Fable 2
, the
gargoyles' legendary treasure
refers to
six hidden treasure chests
in
Gargoyle's Trove
, a secret underground area located beneath the bridge in Bowerstone Market, that unlock a
Legendary crossbow
.

  • These
    six hidden chests
    are accessed by destroying
    gargoyle statues
    .
  • Each
    ten statues
    will unlock a chest.
  • The
    final treasure
    in the
    sixth chest
    is
    The Rammer
    , a Legendary quality crossbow with 119 hit with fire attacks and the ability to drain energy from enemies.

  • Gargoyles
    must be manually aimed at, which requires
    level 2 Dextrous Skills
    .

Unlocking all will earn you an Achievement. Once all of the chests have been looted, 25 points will be added to the player's gamer score.

Gettings the Chests

There are
fifty gargoyle statues
that need to be destroyed in order to gain access to the
first five chests
; the
sixth
and
final one
is automatically awarded once all of the others have been plundered and the switches in front of them have been pushed down.
Players receive their
first chest
upon successfully destroying
10 statues
and receive an additional one for every additional 10 that they break. A skill level of 2 in
Dexterous Styles
is required in order to manually aim a weapon.


  • Pro Tip
    : Be aware that statues will also alert players to their presence using very distinct voices. If you hear someone mocking you and there's nobody around, there's a good chance that it's a gargoyle.
