It's a heck of a game. I've been enjoying it now for five years! There's hardly space for a review in a comment but let's do some quick highlights...
1. The sidekick system. With issue 16, the game looks at the level of the person who's mission you are running (or the team leader if you're just street sweeping). Everyone below that level gets bumped up to that level minus 1. Everyone above that level gets bumped down to that level. This has a HUGE impact on teaming and long term game play. No more worrying about your friends leaving you in the dirt while you go on vacation. No more worrying that you're friend at work that you just invited to the game can't find anybody to team with. I really wish more games would put a system like this into their MMOs.
2. Character customization is huge. Assuming you don't pull a bone-head and try to copy some popular comic character, you probably won't see anybody that looks quite like you. And this happens immediately.
3. The battles are FUN! You'll need to think and move around a lot. Most characters need to fill two roles in a group. It's a pity they've weakened the death penalties so much, though, as I think that's taken some of the intensity out of combat.
4. Creating your own content is fun! A lot of folks have been abusing the system to powerlevel but there's still plenty of good stuff in there.
