Recording Minecraft

ok. i did what you said and i saw the box. i start record everything is fine. i stop record and i get a messege that sais it was an error during the recording. WTF. do you have any idea why.

Hm. This is a rather relevant question seeing as I'm trying to record minecraft but, the problem spills over into everything else as well. I quite simply can't record anything on my computer. I don't get the little box, and I've tried Minecraft, Terraria, and Dark Messiah, Might and Magic. Theres no 'green box' and I cannot take screenshots either. Nothing happens at all, almost as if it's just not connected right. Any ideas?

I have the same problem as Drekner. I can't record Minecraft, and I cannot record anything else including supported games. In addition, I used to be able to record only a few months ago, but it stopped suddenly.

I am also having a problem recording Minecraft. I'm recording in pre-release 3 of 1.9, this may be an issue. However, I have 2 other user accounts, one in 1.8.1 and one in 1.7.3. Also, I haven't a clue whether this is a Minecraft or WeGame problem as I have no other games on my computer besides the default Windows 7 games. I do not get a small green box, or, even an empty black one. I have recorded videos before (of portal) on my old PC, but this is my brand-new laptop. It has an i3 processor and nVidia GEFORCE GT540M graphics card, at least 500 gb of free hard drive space and 6 gb of RAM. I am able to play minecraft on full quality with a 64x texture pack.
Help would be much appreciated, as I wish to begin a "Let's play" series on Youtube.

Forgot to mention - my OS is English Windows 7 x64.

I really need to record some minecraft vids... I did what you said here but no green square :( Wegame worked fine on my old pc running xp 32 bit but now I have a new pc: windows 7 64 bit and it doesn't show a green square anymore D: plz help!

A game does not need to be in the scanned library in order to record it.
