Machinicast Awards - Nominations

Hello everyone,

The Machinicast Awards are back and ready for year four. Our goal remains the same in that we wish to honor those machinima directors, popular or unpopular, by giving them the respect that they are due. We wish to establish a formal system of accomplishment and reward similar to that of the Academy Awards. Ten years down the road, we want people to be able to look back and remember the great winners of years past and help further establish a written history of machinima.

We have heard the community's thoughts from the years past and are hoping for the best year of Machinicast Awards yet.

We have added some new categories that you, the community, have been asking for. However, just like we have done in years past, if a category fails to receive 4 nominations, the category will be dropped from this years awards.

You can nominate as many videos for as many categories as you like.
You may nominate the same video for as many categories as you like.
You may (and should) nominate your own work.
You may nominate other people's work.
You may nominate several videos for the same category.

All nominations must have been released between July 26, 2011 and May 25, 2012.


Here are the categories and their nomination format:

Best Director:
1. Director's name or online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group he represents (if any).
3. A link to 3 videos the director has made between July 26, 2011 and May 25, 2012.

Best Voice Actor:
1. Voice actor's name or online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group he represents (if any).
3. A link to 3 videos he has voice acted in that were released between July 26, 2011 and May 25, 2012.

Best Cinematography:
1. The name of the cinematographer or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group that is responsible for the video (if any).
3. A link to the machinima that is being nominated.

Best Action/Drama:
1. The name of the director or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group that is responsible for the video (if any).
3. A link to the machinima that is being nominated.

Best Action/Drama Series:
1. The name of the director or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group that is responsible for the video (if any).
3. A link to 3 of the episodes that were released between May 26, 2010 and July 25, 2011. (if there are not 3 episodes released in that time, it probably belongs in regular Best Action/Drama).

Best Comedy:
1. The name of the director or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group that is responsible for the video (if any).
3. A link to the machinima that is being nominated.

Best Comedy Series:
1. The name of the director or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group that is responsible for the video (if any).
3. A link to 3 of the episodes that were released between May 26, 2010 and July 25, 2011.

Best Music Video:
1. The name of the director or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group that is responsible for the video (if any).
3. A link to the machinima that is being nominated.

Best Edited: (note: this is best editing to enhance story such as good cuts, etc.)
1. The name of the editor or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group that he belongs to (if any).
3. A link to the machinima being nominated.

Best Special Effects: (note: this is best special effects, such as color correction, explosions, etc.)
1. The name of the editor or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group that he belongs to (if any).
3. A link to the machinima being nominated.

Best Story:
1. The name of the writer or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinma production group he belongs to (if any).
3. A link to the machinima being nomianted.

Best Production Group:
1. The name of the production group.
2. Links to 3 machinimas that production group has put out between May 26, 2010 and July 25, 2011.

Best Informative:
1. The name of the director or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group he belongs to (if any).
3. A link to the machinima being nominated.

Best Picture:
1. The name of the direcot or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group he belongs to (if any).
3. A link to the machinima being nominated.

Best Score:
1. The name of the score creator or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group he belongs to (if any).
3. A link to the machinima being nominated.

Best Adventure:
1. The name of the director or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group he belongs to (if any).
3. A link to the machinima being nominated.

Best Original Trailer: (cannot be a remake of a Hollywood trailer)
1. The name of the director or his online alias (or both).
2. The machinima production group he belongs to (if any).
3. A link to the machinima being nominated.

If you are unable to fill out all of that information, just fill out what you can, and I will try to do the rest.
