sound volume very LOW

i have been having problems when recording, as when i watch the videos i have recorded some of them have sound but it really LOW and i can bearly hear it, the volume in windows Mic muted so i don't get myself the mixer option is high the game sound is at a good level that wont deafen me and the head set is all good ( it's a cheap set from Kmart, not USB) i have been trying to edit the videos in preimere pro at school but some of them show up as sound only and other show up as video and no sound, then there's the one that have sound as the volume bar in prem pro is moving yet i can't hear it. i put these video oin me laptop and don't have a problem, yet me desktop has all the above problems. Both have Wegame installed both have prem pro trail, both have divx codecs and both have virtualdub, so it should work, i record the footage on desk top as it's a core2 quad and lappy is a core 2 duo. desktop has XP sp3 and lappy has vista ultamate. |

Interesting... If the playback ability of the videos varies from computer to computer and one computer plays them fine (in this case you're lappy), then I think the problem is inconsistency of codecs between the computers. Make sure your PC and your laptop have the same codec packs installed. That should get the videos to playback the same. As for the sound, I've had similar issues when testing some games. What I do is remove my headphones and crank up the game volume really high. We're still working on sound as a whole, and things should be better come the next release of the client. Might I ask, what game are you playing / recording?

Oblivion with wegame and grid/assassins creed with fraps ( i know fraps is a different program to wegame) but i figured as they both record footage then u guys might have more of an idea of whats wrong than what i would,. the volume in game is up as high as it goes i think, but i will try what u said about unpluging me headphones and trying again. I have a class assignment to make a 5 min video of which i have to edit and ad text and possible music. hopefully the new version of wegame will be out within 4 weeks as that when i go back to TAFE.
