large files get corrupted

Does anyone know why large wegame files get corrupted i tried making a viedeo of a fortress war in silkroad online today and i left it recording for awhile it was about 7 gigs in total but i cant open it with anything it says its corrupted this is happened to me in the past aswell is there a limit to how long i can record?

The AVI file format only allows for files of 2^32 bytes, or exactly 4 gigs. Any AVI file over 4 gigs is probably unplayable and unreadable by ALL media players/video editing programs ever.

ahh ok is it possible to get it to stop recording or start a new file when it reaches its max? And thanks for the reply |

Just stop and restart recording every 20 minutes or something. You can then use a movie editor program to combine them together, if you wish.
