There's No Sound In My Videos

Are your recordings coming out visually ok, yet there's no audio in your videos? Sadly you're probably not alone. We are working on implementing a new sound system, but until then you'll have to bear with us and try the following techniques:

Note:
If you are hoping to have sound in videos that you previously recorded that had no sound, then these steps will not help at all. Those videos were recorded with no sound and will never have sound. All this fix does is address all videos you record from this point on. There is no way to recover the sound in soundless videos.

If you're on Vista, then there's a chance your Stereo Mixer is disabled. To enable it please follow the steps in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfd_BNyX6...

If you still don't have sound, or if you're on XP, then follow these steps:

Windows Xp Users:
1.Go to “C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name Here\Application Data\WeGame\”
2.Open the file “wegame.ini” with a text editor such as NotePad
3.Change the line AutoAdjustMixers=1 and replace it with AutoAdjustMixers=0
4.Close the file and save the changes
5.Restart the WeGame client

Windows Vista Users:
6. Go to “C:\Your User Name Here\Application Data\WeGame\”
7. Open the file “wegame.ini” with a text editor such as NotePad
8. Change the line AutoAdjustMixers=1 and replace it with AutoAdjustMixers=0
9. Close the file and save the changes
10. Restart the WeGame client

WeGame will now no longer attempt to locate your Stereo Mixer / What U Hear Device. It will now simply record from your selected input mixer.

To select the correct input and set your volume, go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sound and Audio Devices -> 'Audio' tab, and then click 'Volume' under the Input section. This will bring up a list of your mixers. You can choose which device(s) we will record from and set its volume level.

If you are still having problems after following these steps then there's a chance that your sound card probably isn't adequate. Nevertheless, if you would like more help in solving this problem, then please send an email to help@wegame.com. Please include the following in your email:

1. Your System Specs
2. Your Operating System and whether it's 32-bit or 64-bit
3. Information regarding your sound card
4. What game you're trying to play
5. A detailed description of the problem

Hi im using vista 64, and I cant find stereo mixer, though I tried that tutorial

Some Vista installations do not have a Stereo Mix device at all, but most do.

Unfortunately, you are currently out of luck. We are working on a new system that will let us record lossless sound from all Vista systems, though.

Hi everyone,

I followed the instructions written in the first post but i still don't have sound in my videos. I'm using Windows XP SP3 and my sound card is a Realtek ALC883 @ Intel 82801GB ICH7 - High Definition Audio Controller [A-1] (information taken with Everest). If someone can help me, it would be nice. :)

Edit: Problem solved. Maybe it will help someone.

Just go in Control Panel -> Realtek Audio Configuration -> "Mixer" tab. You will see a Stereo Mixer volume control ( which for me didn't appear in "sound and audio devices" ->"Audio" tab -> "Volume"). It was on mute. -_-
Please watch my vids and leave commments!

Is there not any way to capture the sound from the audio OUTPUT (as in the actual output device)? Whenever I use the Stereo Mixer, the sound is of a horrible quality. I'd also like to be able to capture my TeamSpeak audio without giving my friends horrible loopback.

1: Currently I'm running a Dell XPS 720 H2C Edition, 2GB’s of RAM, 2x Nvidia 9800. Full system Specs can be found at:
http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/produc...
(Sorry, the official dell site has since removed this product from their listings, replaced by the 730 edition.)

2: Operating System: Windows Vista 32-bit

3: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi

4: World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade

5: I have a rather odd problem, I thought for a while I couldn't record sound at all, but then just recently I tried recording the Log on screen for World of Warcraft and I actually got sound there. But that's where it stops as on the character select screen and in game I do not get sound there. So I’m getting sound in one portion of the game, but not another without touching any options or controls.
