There Is No Green Indicator In My Game

The Green Indicator is an important part of the WeGame recording process. Seeing a green indicator in the upper left of your games means that WeGame has successfully “hooked” onto the game your playing. As a result, it is able to record. If you don't see a green indicator then this usually means that WeGame isn't hooked at all. Thus, regardless of how many times you press that recording button, you usually won't get any videos because of this.

Windows Vista Users
If you're using Windows Vista, then there's a good chance that you are simply experiencing a permission error.

WeGame needs to be running at a higher permission setting than the game you're trying to run.  To fix this, please right click on the WeGame icon on your desktop and select "run as administrator".  This will make it so that WeGame runs at a higher permission level than the game (which is necessary in order for the client to work properly).

If there is no wegame icon on your desktop, then navigate to the folder where you installed WeGame and right click on wegame.exe and do the same.

Now restart the client and start up your game.  Try and see if you can record now.

Windows XP Users / Vista Fix Didn't Work
If you are not using Windows Vista or if the permission fix doesn't help you, it could be the case that some other game is interfering. WeGame can only hook to one application at a time. This means that if you have two games open at the same time (say War Craft III and Call of Duty 4), only one of these games can be recorded from when both applications are open.

Running two games at the same time might sound absurd, but it can actually be quite common. For example, if you run WoW Model Viewer and then run WoW Map Viewer while Model Viewer is still open, then WeGame will only be able to hook to Model Viewer. If you want to record from Map Viewer then you'll have to close Model Viewer.

That being said, sometimes games don't close properly and their .exe is still in memory. If that's the case, then any game you try to record after said game won't hook, because WeGame is still hooking to the .exe. If your games aren't hooking properly then Ctrl+Alt+Delete, look in the Task Manager and under Processes, see if there are any game .exes still running that you don't want running. Stop this process and then try to launch your game.

Compatibility Issues
Finally, some programs are simply known to cause compatibility issues. For example, running xFire or FRAPS with WeGame has been known to cause some issues. For the best results, when recording with WeGame it is recommended that you close all other applications that you don't need running.

Try running WoW without WeGame. Once you get it started up, alt-tab out of WoW and start up WeGame as an administrator. Alt-tab back into WoW and see if you have the green square.

Corkscrew is a quakeIII mod, i tried stopping certain exe. type folders for the need for speed but the client still doesn't hook, it works on all the other games i have, could it be the fact that i have a crack version of NFS? Another question, off topic i know... is there a way i can upload the vidz i make from another pc, the dialup i am subjected to using is killing me!!!!
