I have sound but it's QUITE... Is there a way to get it to record louder, or am I just stuck with this crappy low sound?

Have you tried turning up the volume?
If you're using Vista we don't automatically set volume levels

I have turned it up, and just curious why doens't it record straight from the game instead of recording how high your volume level is.

There's no simple way to get sound straight from an application. Vista has a much better audio system and there is a better way to record on it compared to XP...
We're not going to write Vista-specific code though while we have something better in the works, which will benefit XP users as well.

Vista is going to be the primary OS for PC's for a few years to come and you're not going to write a specific code for it?
all I can say is O_O

Did you read the part about "something better in the works" ?
We're not going to waste time writing something for the small number of Vista users because we're working on a better solution that will work on XP as well.
Maybe that's a bit much to comprehend though, if you struggled so much with my previous post...

I asked a simple question, was that response really necessary? I mean seriously I wasn't intending to insult you, geeze man, chill.

A simple question which implied your lack of attention to what I'd already said (and was asked in a provocative manner).
I answered the question before you asked it - it looks like you read half the sentence, jumped to a conclusion then started kicking up a fuss about it.
