Hey guys I just want to know what you guys convert your video files to. MPEG? or what. because I want to keep some of the quality, but I want to finish editing it in Sony vegas and then compress it to like 200-300mbs. Right now i use Magic Video converter to convert AVI's to mpeg, but using gamecam and after editing and compressing its still like 200mbs, and wegames file size is much bigger then that for a 10min video. Any suggestions?

We use Motion JPEG to compress our video, so MPEG 1 and 2 aren't going to save any space. Converting to anything less than MPEG 4 isn't going to yield much of a size reduction...

We convert to flash video format before uploading from the client so the file we send to the server is much smaller.

Is it possible to convert an edited video with the client before I upload? My record is 3GB, I cutted it down to 2.5GB to a final version. But now Wegame client does not recognise it anymore... How do I do that? Thank you!

You'll need to encode it with something else before uploading then.

There's plenty of free software for it though - try VirtualDub or mencoder.
