Ok, I've used AVI's before... however, whenever I record a video it adds it as an AVI into the directory, but when I open it with Windows Media Player (And Quicktime, and Realplayer) it doesn't work. It pretty much says, it does not work. What's the matter? Is there any way to change it from an AVI or what?

AVI is a container format. You need the right codec to handle the contents of it.
Try ffdshow or the k-lite pack that everyone else here likes. Anything with a Motion JPEG codec should fix it.
