Here's a few forum ideas. I hope it helps:
Sharing Forums (For sharing Friend Codes and stuff.)
Spam Forums (Approving that idea.)

And then we need a PM system. And I'm all for those rules.

A three strike system sounds good, but we'll need more forum features for that.

Although this shouldn't necessarily be a hardcore rule, I think this is a much needed "suggestion" that should be somewhere in the rules.

People should search the forums a little before they start posting. I know this is hard without a search feature but even looking at the first page of a category could prove helpful and reduce a lot of the clutter on the site.

There's so many duplicate topics out there (especially in the support sections). I don't know how many times I've gotten "windows crashes when i look at my videos" threads. Seriously a lot of the topics are almost word for word the same. And I usually end up giving the same word for word answer.

Now I don't mind helping people but I think in the long run it's only more beneficial to the person posting, and me, if they just do a little searching before starting a new topic. They find their answer quicker and it saves me some time.

Now I know it's already suggested in some of the Help Sections, but adding it to the official rules might make it noticed more...

Okay so basically the rules will be:

# Do not intentionally bring a thread off-topic.
# No flaming (insulting, slanderous, racist, sexist, or discriminating comments. Constructive criticism is good.)
# Restricted Topics:
- Piracy/Warez
- Porn
- Advertising/spamming
# Scan the forums to see if your question has already been answered before posting.

Forum etiquette should be common sense.

Moderators have the final say and will warn/punish offenders accordingly.

This looks good to everybody?

The ability to lock topics (to make e.g. no-reply announcements and stickied topics) would be useful to moderators/admins as well.

The rules look acceptable.

Odd, looks like my post got deleted that just basically agreed with the first paragraph that Bill made. My post was not against the rules stated here as far as I know. Oh well.

Unfortunately, we're unable to see who deleted posts. This is a shortcoming of our custom forums. :P

Hopefully, we'll be able to attach deletion reasons to posts in the future so there's accountability on our parts.

Hmm that's a good point. That's a necessary feature if we're going to have moderators.
