I don't know anything about Mac, but I THINK I've heard that mac can't run the same games as PC, so there isn't that many games as in PC.

You can run Windows on your Apple computer, which is what I do. It has been the most dependable windows install I have ever run. It practically never crashes and runs extremely well. As you said, the specs are very good.

I started using a Mac when I was given one from work, then 3 months later I liked it so much that I bought my own. They are extremely good computers.

There's a reason why everyone at WeGame used Macs...

id and Blizzard always release Mac versions of their games, too.

Macs are great, and they become even greater with Parallels on them. Just kinda expensive, you can often get a PC with the same specs for 2/3 of the price of a Mac.
Then again, a PC and a Mac aren't the same thing.

The two most significant reasons, I think, are that Apple doesn't put enough focus on gaming and because Macs use OpenGL. Many developers don't feel the need to make the effort to port their games especially to such a small market. At least Microsoft sort of tries to support gaming on the PC with their Games for Windows initiative, but Apple puts zero focus at all. The only games Apple is interested in are games on the iPhone/iPod. Also, since it's pretty much standard to build your game in DirectX now, a Microsoft-developed API, few games anymore are built in OpenGL. John Carmack and id still like to use OpenGL, but they're the only major developers who still do. You can still get a decent gaming experience out of a Mac if you install Windows on it. It'll perform more or less on par with a similarly speced PC since it more or less uses standard hardware.

What's the point of buying an Mac and installing windows into it? Wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy a PC?

Anyways, the only reason why I hate Macs is because of it's fanboys. You know the whole "Hi I'm a Mac" commericals, PC
