They offer games for sale so that you can register them on your steam account and download them whereever you like and use your steam account to play it. There is a lot of features about it. You can buy a game and play it on witch computer you want, you don't need to buy it again, but you need to download it. There's alot more awesome stuff, but I guess other people already have, and going to tell them, and it's also on the Steam page so I don't think I have any reasons for writing more.
