“Some good processors are
Intel Core 2 Extreme (Lowest subscore 3.0)
Intel Core 2 Quad (Lowest Subscore 3.8)
Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad Core. (The best and the fastest with a lowest subscore of 5.0)”
ty anwesh.
I'm unable to check stats & prices on these atm, but I'm
sure they cost around the price of this whole laptop together.

in Arizona, should be back early December

You're going to be spending way more money than you need to, since 9/10 games don't utilize quad-core CPUs at all. (The only ones I can think of are physics-heavy games, like Red Faction Guerrilla and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed)

I think thats great Hevgirl, really. I was expecting a integrated graphics card at that price-- but thankfullly not!
So because the graphics card is integrated, I expected something to be shit to make up for it, but it all seems good.
Got a great deal there. Go Granny!
**edit**:
Just realised thats extremely similar to my girlfriends Laptop *except a few things slightly better* and her laptop runs WoW great. I mean, sure things could look better but-- for the price.
Team Fortress 2 runs pretty good to, so you should be able to have WoW up more then minimum settings on that spec.

upgrading anything in a laptop besides ram requires dismantling/.

Hevgirl, if you plan to replace your Laptop's processor, I hope your up for a big task. It's nothing like a Desktop.
You'll have to remove the keyboard, and the screen.

if you really dont like laptops and want to get a computer without lag on wow. then you should rather get the money for the laptop and buy a desktop/build. if you want to build i reccomend Dell and alienware if you want to build. you need a guide if you do not know what to do. Know any persons? and you need to crosscheck the prices of things on different sites. i supposed you are not the crysis person, so you can try to buy amd processor and ait 5700 gpu.

Well that's not entirely accurate, you can get a good ASUS notebook for like $800 that will run WoW (and most other games) on max.

well running wow with low settings doesn't bug me.
I'm just sick to death of getting lag. (non-latency)
like on Ony & the whelps come out. no matter how good I was doing, I'll drop to nothing on fps until they're almost all dead.
if I keep this computer, I will NOT be taking it apart. atleast not until its really old or its completly broken.
I have built a comp before & my roomate knows a bit too.
but if it comes down to it, I'll take this laptop back. was just hoping to avoid all that this time around.
I'm leaning twards keeping it atm though. I just need to get internet on it, patch wow & see how it goes.
