ok my grandma bought me a new laptop (specs below) and I wanted opinions on it. it was FREE so it would obviously cost me if I wanted something different. but just tell me what you think. was it a good deal, or should I take it back, get something else and/or stop wasting time lol

main concern = world of warcraft running smoothly with a decent framerate in raids.
I run wow comfortably with all settings on max-low except particle density, so I don't really care about turning the settings up, I just wanna be lag free. (non-latency)

$375.oo USD
- Acer Aspire 5534-1096 (wal*mart computer ftw lol)
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
- AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual-core processor L310 (1.20GHz, 1MB L2 cache)
- ATI Radeon HD3200
- 4GB memory
- 250GB hard drive
- 6-cell Li-ion battery

I installed vanilla WoW & TBC without a problem, but when I installed LK I got a warning saying I had an insufficient processor.
(yes I installed them all from disks, since I didn't feel like waiting 20 years to download it)

I installed anyway, but is this gonna be an issue later, or will there be a way I can tweak it?
have been told that wow only utilizes one side of dual-core processors, any tips?

Naah its good enough. a smart thing when you have laptops is investing in a external harddrive so that the performance is not fucked when you want to have stuff on your computer

also you should uninstall all the extra programs you got on the comp that followed. commercial thing and such. get a free anti virus such as, Malwarebytes anti malware, avg free, superantispyware.

you could also download teracopy. it makes copy/moving things goes faster. its better than what you get with windows

That is an amazing deal in my opinion, for the amount of money you spent. Gotta be the high volume discount by Walmart. I don't even know if Dell has anything that can compete with that.

Pretty good specifications, might want to get a better processor though.

Doubt that's possible, and remember the price he got this at.

Last I checked, the 2nd number in a gpu represents the overall class. A 2/10 is not that good, regardless of series.

That being said, I've never seen a 3200 in a notebook; I am more familiar with how they operate in desktops. Give some feedback on if it works well or not, but I wouldn't expect much (bare minimum)
