Wikipedia founder and his thoughts on paedophilia

 Now this is two articles I found over at the Geek Media. And I'm not really sure what to say about it. But it's a bit disturbing.

One of the founders of WikiMedia, Erik Möller, has shared his thoughts about pornography and children.

 Even more news has come out since then. A simple Google will give you a ton of stories. One could wonder why the mainstream press hasn't picked it up yet. But, the word is out there.

Granted, it's a controversial subject. Many argue it doesn't effect Wikipedia because it's the opinions of one person. Others feel it does. I'm in the second camp on that and refuse to use Wikipedia or their sister sites until something is done. However you (meaning you in general) have to make your own decision on the topic.

Thanks for posting this, Rov! A lot of people in "New Media" want to get the word out there. The more who read it, the better!

 Now what I find the most, lets say disturbing about this is that he finds it acceptable and almost encourages the use of 5 to 14 year old kids in pornography. Sexual attraction to five to fourteen year old children is the definition of paedophilia when psychologists are talking about it. But there are also other classes of it such as attraction to 0-5 year old kids, tough can't remember the name of it.

Now I've talked about this with some friends of mine. And one of my friends whose name I'm not going to mention brought up a quite interesting point. He was asking us why it's so foul, so unaccepted when a forty-five year old man falls in love with with a seventeen year old woman? Same thing in the other direction when an elder woman falls in love with a younger man.
And they in they end up living with each other. Why do we feel disgusted, insulted by this?


Footnote: It is in Sweden illegal to have sex when you are under the age of 15. This to prevent paedophilia.

 edit to Rovanion:
In Sweden it's illegal to have sex with a person under the age of 15(the age is 16 in norway).
This doesn't mean that if two 14 yearolds have sex they will be thrown in prison ;P
But if one of them is over 15(16) they are doing something illegal.
